Kas & Kathryn's Art Deco Hotel DeLuxe Wedding

I have so many great memories of Kas & Kathryn's wedding day. First of all, it was beautiful. They put together an outstanding party, left no detail untouched and had amazing taste in their decor, colors, flowers, and formal wear. The location, The Hotel DeLuxe can't be beat! We shot their engagement session at the same location back in (brrr) January. I love the rooms for preparation and the beautiful architecture of the Screening and Editing Rooms where we shot our photos. To top off the details, Kas and Kathryn have an AMAZING group of friends. They were so welcoming to my assistant and I, offering to help us, brought us water, providing us with chairs... so very sweet! I had an awesome time and was so honored to have witnessed such a warm, loving, and truly amazing couple come together and pledge to spend the rest of their lives together. The room was so alive with love as their friends and family told fun stories during the toasting portion of the reception and recounted how they all "just KNEW!" that Kas and Kathryn were the ones for each other from the start of their relationship. They're one of those couples who it's obvious the moment you meet them that they are a perfect match. Congrats Kas and Kathryn! Enjoy your sneak peek and a lifetime of happiness!

Genevieve's Newborn Session

I really could not have asked for a sweeter newborn to photograph than Genevieve. At two weeks old, she was sleepy, content, tolerant of many hats and poses and even gave us some smiles :) She made my job soooo easy! Enjoy your sneak peek and your sweet little baby girl! My babies in the summertime

Awww... my babies! I've been wanting to do a summery session with them in a grassy field  and the other night my vision came true :) I did a similar shoot with them two years ago when Joseph was only 3 months old :) They MOSTLY behaved, although Joseph required some bribery via sugar treats and Hailey largely refused to look at the camera or hold her bouquet this way or that; these two are DEFINITELY my toughest clients. The pictures where Joe appears to be yelling at the camera was actually him yelling, "STOPPPPPP ITTTTTTT!" at the top of his lungs at me for jumping like a frog and singing to him (one of my best tricks for "normal" toddlers). However... we still got some great ones! I love photos that allow personalities to shine through and this is definitely how I'll remember their personalities this summer. Enjoy!

Cassidy 3 Weeks New

I had been waiting for this little one to be born for awhile, there's always some extra anticipating on my part when I also capture the maternity session. I knew we would have to wait a little longer than "normal" for the newborn session so Grandma and Great Grandma could get in on some generations photso (I've mentioned before that depending on the baby, I've had 21 day old sessions be just as successful as a 3 day session) so I wasn't worried. I've been on a good luck streak with happy, cuddly, newborns that are supposedly past the window of opportunity. Then I arrive and Cassidy's Mommy informs me that she doesn't sleep much during the day. Say What!?! That's one of the only things on her to do list right now, is to sleep! And PS: Little Miss is also rolling over. Hmmm... luckily after some snuggly family shots and some time snuggling on the beanbag things started to get comfortable and baby girl drifted into a (somewhat) deep sleep :) The end result, lots of traditional, sleepy, cuddly newborn poses and great shots of this alert, happy, beautiful baby girl looking around at her loved ones. What a fun day!
