Alex & Sierra - Mt Hood Bed & Breakfast, Hood River, Oregon

On September 7, 2012 I got to do something that I've been dreaming about my entire career as a wedding photographer; shoot a wedding at the venue where I got married in 2007! Many of you have heard this story so I'll keep it short, but my sub optimal experience with my wedding photographer (er... faux-tographer) is what pushed me to start focusing more on wedding photography as part of my overall business. Planning and designing a beautiful wedding only to have terrible photos (due to both technical error and lack of creativity) was devastating for me but motivated me to provide a much better service to couples than what I was provided. That being said, this wedding came with great anticipation... I had a chance to give this couple the photos that I wish I had! Alex and Sierra's wedding didn't disappoint; it was beautiful! Family Photos at Edgefield

I met up with this sweet family of three recently at Edgefield where we got to enjoy the fall colors and some warm September temperatures for this little one's first birthday session. I love the wide variety of personality she displayed for the camera; this session is going to be a fun one to look back on months and years down the road. Enjoy your sneak peek! An evening by the river

This is by far one of my favorite local locations so it was fitting that it involve some of my favorite people (and relatives :) I photographed Mr. Finn's newborn session 1 year ago; and he's grown so much! We had a good time exploring this fun park up on the mountain and catching up; which as cousins we should really do more often :) Enjoy your sneak peek!
