Rainy Weddings are Extra Lucky Weddings

I especially like to think the rainy wedding sentiment is true, since my wedding day was drizzly as well :) Christina is an old high school friend of mine who asked me to come by to capture her small, private, backyard wedding ceremony. She stuck by her plans to say her vows outdoors, creek side, in the fall despite the fact that the rain we had that day was FAR beyond a drizzle (torrential downpour is much more accurate ;) The weather didn't dampen the love between these two. Best wishes newlyweds! Enjoy your sneak peek! :)

Kody & Kyla - Engaged!

Last summer I shot a family session for a family whose oldest son was leaving the next day for the military. His girlfriend joined us so that we could take photos of them together and I was SO sad for her (the whole family really, but especially her) knowing that her love was leaving on such a permanent and long term adventure. I could only imagine what she felt (I hate it when my husband leaves for a week to go hunting for crying out loud). Fast forward a couple of months and I got a call that Kody, now through bootcamp and settled into his military career had decided he couldn't live without Kyla by his side and was planning to propose while home on leave for Thanksgiving. Such a happy ending! We scheduled their engagement session (and wedding lol) long before they were even engaged and met up on a rainy day to take these adorable engagement photos :) I love LOVE stories!

Enjoy your long sneak peek :) I hurried so you could view them together before Kody heads back east :)

Sweet Family of 5 - Studio Portraits

I got to know this sweet family about 6 months ago when I captured their maternity session for their tiny little girl pictured below :) Then I got to capture her as a newborn and my how she's grown in the 5 months since then! She is absolutely beautiful, just like her big sisters :) Enjoy your sneak peek! Your CD is in the mail!

This little series was big sister's idea: "Hey! Dad should pretend like he's handing you a present! Then you act surprised!" lol :) I told her she's hired :)
