KyLie - Class of 2013 Senior

Honestly, I had a big old mushy speech planned for KyLie's senior photo blog post. I think instead I'll keep it short and sweet and just say this; 6 months ago, I received one of those gut wrenching late night cries out from my friend Broek (KyLie's Mama) to say that KyLie had been badly hurt in a very serious accident. There were a lotttttttttttttttttttttt of people out there routing for this strong (both mentally and physically), bright girl to pull through, and pull through she did... actually it seemed like one minute I was planning for her senior photos to be done in a wheelchair and the next thing I knew, KyLie walking around my property and Roslyn Lake for her session without any assistance. I call that amazing :) KyLie, I'm so proud of your dedication, strength, perseverance and your maturity through this! It's been fun getting to know you better over the last few months too! 

Phew! Now that I have a lump in my throat (wasn't I going to avoid that speech? lol). Before this whole accident situation, actually since she was approximately 6 years old, I have been planning KyLie's senior photo session! Haha :) As fate would have it, we ended up living in the same town for her senior year so I asked her to be my Sandy High School Class of 2013 Senior Rep for my studio. If you're one of KyLie's friends or classmates reading this, she earns photo/session credit for friends she refers AND the person she refers also earns free prints for doing Senior Photos through my Studio AND the person referred can also refer their friends/classmates for additional credit. Baby Mason 3 Weeks New

This little guy was so sweet and did such a good job at his session! I do usually end up having pretty good luck with the "older newborns," maybe because after those first couple weeks pass, things are settled, they're eating more (and creating more laundry eh, Mason? hehehe :) j/k) Last time I saw his Mama was at her wedding a couple of years ago so it was fun to see this new chapter unfold. I'm looking forward to a family update session later this summer! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sisters in the spring

These two sweeties came to visit my studio a few weeks back and were soooo fun to work with! It's been a couple of years since I have seen them behind the lens and they've grown up so much and have the sweetest personalities. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Cowgirl Cupcake!

First of all, Cowgirl Cupcake's are delicious. Second of all, how can you not love working with the precious gift who is Corrine, master chef behind the magical Cowgirl Cupcakes? She is sweet, friendly, accommodating and very talented at what she does. Her desserts are delightful and she is able to create all kinds of delicious treats including FABULOUS vegan gluten-free varieties. Third, and this is really just icing on the cake (hahahahaha ;) is that her work is beautiful. Art in the kitchen. I love it :)

Recently I've had the opportunity to quickly (because face it, her cupcakes don't last long out in public!) capture a few of her works of art. I was able to taste exactly one pie pop before everything disappeared at a recent event and it was wonderful. Check out Cowgirl Cupcake next time you need goodies!

Oregon Photos

Recently, this sweet little client of mine, who I've photographed since he was a brand new little teeny tiny baby, traveled all the way to my studio from Arizona for his 4 year portraits! I tried to talk his Mom into flying me to sunny AZ instead, but she wanted rainy Oregon photos and that's what she got! :) Actually, we also planned a fun day at the beach for later in the week of Little T's visit so we got the best of both worlds. Rainy, green, forested Oregon and sunny Oregon Coast (ok... that sunny coast part's unusual!)
